Apple’s iPhone 17 series and Samsung’s foldable phones were in high demand in the July-September quarter. Apple received record pre-orders for the iPhone 17 series and had to ramp up production. Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 have also emerged as the company’s most successful foldable devices. Furthermore, AI features are also attracting customers. Customers of companies offering AI features are upgrading their phones more quickly.
Samsung leads in terms of shipments:
Samsung shipped 61.4 million units in the quarter ended September, remaining the largest company in this segment. Apple came in second. The American company posted 3 percent year-on-year growth, delivering a total of 58.6 million units last quarter. This is the first time in its history that Apple has shipped so many units in a single quarter.
