Jeep’s parent company Stelantis has announced the Dare Forward 2030 strategy that will define the future of the larger umbrella of automotive brands that comprise Atlantis. The highlight of the announcement was the first fully electric SUV under the Jeep banner, ready for launch in the first half of 2023.
The car will be based on Stelantis’ STLA platform, which is a dedicated platform for EVs. Externally, the EV is somewhat similar to the Jeep Renegade and looks quite smart. The car has the signature 7-slotted front grille but it has been discontinued as there is no need to cool the internal combustion engine. It is surrounded by rectangular headlamps with LED DRLs. The Jeep electric SUV looks quite muscular and appears to be in compact proportions similar to the Renegade. At the rear are 3D LED taillamps.

For 2022, Jeep will follow the launch of the Compass Trailhawk with the locally assembled new-generation Grand Cherokee and the three-row Meridian SUV. While the EV for India is not confirmed, the Jeep EV may arrive here in 2024, at the rate of EV growth in the country.
The teased images point to the EV being a compact SUV, which could be the same size as the Jeep Compass, and the optimistic timeline suggests that it could be an electrified version of the current Jeep.
The EV has an upright stance in typical Jeep fashion, with split headlamps with LED daytime running lamps sitting atop the main unit. Even though the EV doesn’t require a grille, the compact SUV has Jeep’s signature 7 slot grille with the vents closed and serves no functional purpose. The grille also gets a blue ‘E’, which signifies the electric power train of the car.
