Bengaluru-based electric startup Oben has launched its electric motorcycle named Roar in India with a price tag of less than Rs. 1 Lac. This e-bike of the company can be run up to 200 km on a single charge.
Electric vehicles are now fast becoming a trend in India, especially two-wheeler electric vehicles. These are not only economical but also eliminate the hassle of spending money on petrol again and again. Every day in India some startups enter the market with their electric two-wheelers, one of them being Oben Electric which has brought electric motorcycles to the country. The name of this loud-looking e-bike is Oben Ror, apart from this, the company is also going to launch 3 other models in the market by the end of 2022. The Oben Ror price is Rs 1.03 Lakh in Delhi, Rs 1.05 Lakh in Gujarat, Rs 1.15 Lakh in Rajasthan, Rs 1.25 Lakh in Karnataka and Telangana. The company is going to start booking the Oben electric motorcycle from March 18 and you can bring the Roar home by paying just Rs 999. The company will start handing over these electric bikes to customers from July 2022. With a sleek design and styling, the bike gets round LED DRLs with LED headlamps, split-style seats, raised rear, and bifurcated grab rails for the rear passenger.
Will run 200 km in a single charge!
Oben claims that this bike can accelerate from 0-40 km / h in just 3 seconds, while its top speed is being said to be 100 km / h. The company has also claimed that it can be driven up to 200 km on a full charge. The range of the bike depends on its driving. In fact, depending on the mode, the Oben Roar can be driven up to 100-150 km. Three riding modes have been given with the bike. Technology has also been given in this bike to keep the battery cool. It has a 4.4 kWh-R battery pack which is of I67 rating.
Comes with great features
Telescopic forks at the front and mono-shock suspension at the rear. Disc brakes have been given in both the wheels of the bike, but the company has missed out on giving ABS with it. Other features include LCD instrument cluster and smartphone connectivity through an app. The total weight of this bike is 130 kg and the battery gives this bike a peak torque of 62 Nm to hold fast.
