New Delhi: The Government of India is making every effort to stop the pollution going to a lethal level in the country and for this, a new rule is going to be implemented from April 1. The bad news for the people driving old vehicles is that both two-wheeler and four-wheelers will come under the purview of the new rule, in such a situation it will be mandatory for the vehicle owners to undergo a fitness test and they will have to pay a high price for renewing the registration. Vehicle.

Renewal of registration is 8 times more expensive
For example, earlier it used to cost Rs 600 to renew the registration of a 15-year-old car, and now it will cost Rs 5,000. On the same lines, earlier Rs 300 was charged for the old bike, which has now been increased to Rs 1,000. Talking about truck-bus, 15-year-old vehicles used to be refurbished for Rs 1500, whereas now this work will cost Rs 12,500. Earlier refurbishment of small passenger vehicles used to cost Rs 1,300, but now refurbishing them will cost Rs 10,000.

The Government of India has been making strenuous efforts to reduce vehicular pollution for a long time and now a big step has been taken in this matter. It has been made mandatory to install fitness certificate plates on the windshields of all private and commercial vehicles. This fitness plate will be like the number plate of the vehicle, on which the expiry date of fitness will be clearly written. Here on a blue sticker, it will be written in yellow color that how long the vehicle will be fit.

The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has released the draft notification for the new rule. Suggestions have been sought now, after which the government will implement this rule. In this decision of the government, orders are being given to removing diesel vehicles older than 10 years and private vehicles older than 15 years from the road. If we look at the figures, 51 lakh light motor vehicles older than 20 years and 34 lakh vehicles older than 15 years are running in the country. The government is also making a provision to impose heavy fines on vehicle owners who violate this law.

Will be shipped to scrap immediately
According to the Ministry of Road Transport, around 17 lakh medium and heavy commercial vehicles are more than 15 years old and are being driven without valid fitness certificates. In the case of two-wheelers, the fitness certificate will be installed in whatever space there is such as a mudguard or mask, or apron. Delhi and Haryana governments have already given this decision and on April 1, this rule is being implemented strictly. Explain that after the implementation of the new rule, if old vehicles without fitness certificates are found plying on the road, then they will be sent for scrap immediately.
