No one is abusing your Aadhar card; you may check this in 2 minutes from the comfort of your own home.

The Aadhar card is a necessary document. For taking advantage of government schemes till the child’s admission, an Aadhar number is required. Your fingerprint is stored on your Aadhar card, along with your name, address, and phone number. If you are concerned that your Aadhaar is being misused, you can check it yourself from the comfort of your own home.

You can see when and where your Aadhaar number has been used on the official website of the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI). There is no cost associated with this. Here’s how it works in detail…

Here’s how it works…

  1. Go to the Aadhar website or this link uidai.gov.in to get started.
  2. At the bottom of Aadhaar Services, you’ll find the option for Aadhaar Authentication History; select it.
  3.  Here, you must enter your Aadhar number as well as the visible security code, and then click Send OTP.
  4.  An OTP will be sent to the registered cellphone number linked to Aadhaar for verification; enter the OTP and click submit.
  5.  After that, you must fill out all of the required information, including authentication type, date range, and OTP. (Please note that you can only access data from the previous six months.)
  6.  When you click Verify OTP, a list will emerge in front of you with information on when and where Aadhaar was used in the previous six months.

If you suspect that your Aadhar card has been abused, you should file a complaint right once. You can raise a complaint by calling the toll-free number 1947 or sending an email to help@uidai.gov.in. You can also file a complaint online at uidai.gov.in/file-complaint.
