Covid-19 Update: As per the data shared by the Union Health Ministry on Wednesday (June 1), 2,745 new cases of coronavirus have been registered in India with 6 deaths due in the last 24 hours to Covid-19 infection
A total of 2,236 discharges took place in the country in the last 24 hours, taking the overall recovery rate to around 98.74 percent and the total recovery data to 4,26,17,810.
Data from the Union Health Ministry today revealed that the total active cases of COVID-19 in India have increased to 18,386 from 17,883 registered active cases yesterday.
An increase of 503 cases has been registered in the active COVID-19 caseload in a span of 24 hours. According to the ministry, active cases account for 0.04 percent of total infections.
The total death toll in the country now stands at 5,24,636. In India, the first death due to the COVID-19 pandemic was reported in March 2020.

Positivity Rate:
The daily positivity rate was 0.60 percent, according to the health ministry.
ICMR test:
The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) reports that 85,08,96,606 samples have been tested for COVID-19 as of May 31. Of these, 4,55,314 samples were tested on Tuesday.
Delhi’s coronavirus figures:
Meanwhile, according to data shared by the city’s health department on Tuesday, Delhi recorded 373 new coronavirus cases with a positivity rate of 2.15 percent and one death due to the infection in a 24-hour period.
With this, the national capital’s Covid-19 tally has risen to 19,06,896, and the viral disease’s death toll has risen to 26,210. The department in its latest bulletin said that a total of 17,371 COVID-19 tests were conducted in the city on Monday.
Delhi on Monday reported 212 new Covid-19 cases and one death due to the disease, while the positivity rate stood at 2.42 percent.
The national capital saw 357 new Covid-19 cases on Sunday, with a positivity rate of 1.83 percent. On Saturday, it recorded 442 coronavirus cases with a positivity rate of 2.02%.
