Chardham Yatra 2022: More than 18 lakh pilgrims have completed the Chardham Yatra so far, with many records being broken.

Chardham Yatra 2022: The Chardham Yatra began on May 3 this year. The number of Chardham pilgrims has surpassed 18 lakhs in just one month. 6,18,312 pilgrims have visited Badrinath so far. As a result, the number of pilgrims visiting Kedarnath is rapidly increasing. According to the statistics, 5,98,590 pilgrims have visited Kedarnath Dham so far.

In Gangotri and Yamunotri, a large number of pilgrims can also be seen. According to an official, 3,39,090 pilgrims have visited Gangotri Dham and 2,50,398 pilgrims have visited Yamunotri Dham so far. Harish Gowda, media in charge of the Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee, said the total number of pilgrims who have visited the Char Dham temples so far is 18,01,209.

It’s worth noting that, prior to the Corona period in 2019, the Chardham Yatra had a total of 32 lakh 38 thousand 47 passengers. According to reports, Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s frequent visits to the Kedarnath and Badrinath temples have drew an unprecedented number of pilgrims to the Chardham Yatra.

BD Singh, Chief Executive Officer of the Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee, expressed his delight and expressed his hope that pilgrims will continue to visit the temple as before. The Prime Minister’s visits have aided in instilling faith in pilgrims all over the world.

This year, the Chardham Yatra, which has been disrupted for the past two years due to Kovid, is seeing a huge influx of passengers. In such a situation, a warning about the rising number of passengers has been issued. In addition, three checkpoints have been set up to ensure that the registration is correct.
