In the wake of the ‘worsening’ COVID-19 situation, the ICSE Board has decided to cancel class 10 exams.
The ICSE board class 12 exam will be held at a later date, according to the CISCE.
New Delhi: Due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation in the region, the Council For The Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) decided to cancel the class 10 board examinations on Monday (April 19, 2021).
The CISCE also mentioned that the exam status for the ICSE board class 12 exam is unchanged from the previous order, and that it will be held at a later date.
“The CISCE has agreed to CANCEL the ICSE(Class X) 2021 Examination due to the deteriorating situation in the country caused by the Covid-19 Pandemic. The options listed in the previous Circular dated April 16, 2021 have now been removed “According to a statement released by the board.
“Our students’ and teaching faculty’s safety and well-being are our highest priority and of utmost importance,” the statement continued.
As reported previously, the CISCE is dedicated to developing “a rational and impartial criterion.” The CISCE will announce the criteria by which the results for ICSE (Class X) students will be declared, as well as the date on which the results will be declared.
Admissions to Class XI and the start of classes for these students
If the admission process for Class XI has not yet begun, all CISCE affiliated schools (with the ISC Section) have been instructed to do so. Furthermore, all such schools have been instructed to develop a timetable for starting online classes for Class XI students as soon as possible.
The ISC 2023 syllabus is the one that must be followed.
The CISCE had previously postponed the ICSE Class 10 and 12 exams, stating that it would make a final decision on new exam dates for class 10th and 12th by the first week of June.
The ICSE Board exams for classes 10 and 12 were set to begin on May 4th.
