AN INCREASE IN THE COST OF LPG Inflationary shock! LPG rates have increased; instead of Rs 809, an LPG cylinder will now cost Rs 834.50

As a result of the recent spike in inflation, oil firms have increased the price of LPG. A 14.2-kilogram cylinder would cost Rs 834.50 in Delhi starting today, instead of Rs 809. That is to say, there has been a direct increase of Rs 25.

LPG Price Hike: Starting today, the general people have been hit hard by inflation. While gasoline and diesel prices are already sky-high, the government’s oil corporations have now raised the price of LPG cylinders. A 14.2-kilogram cylinder would cost Rs 834.50 in Delhi starting today, instead of Rs 809. That is to say, there has been a direct increase of Rs 25.50.

Every month on the 1st, the prices vary.

On the first day of each month, government oil firms modify the prices of gas cylinders (LPG Price). Earlier this month, on May 1, gas firms made no changes to the LPG Gas Cylinder tariff. The price of an LPG cylinder was reduced by Rs 10 in April, after being raised in February and March.

Other cities’ LPG prices

In Mumbai, the price of a 14.2 kg LPG cylinder has increased to Rs 834.50 from Rs 809. LPG cylinder prices in Kolkata have risen from Rs 835.50 to Rs 861 per cylinder. In Chennai, however, you will have to pay Rs850.50 for an LPG cylinder starting today, up from Rs825 yesterday. In Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, you would have to pay Rs872.50 for an LPG cylinder. In Ahmedabad, Gujarat, you’ll have to pay $841.50 for LPG.

This year, the price of an LPG cylinder increased by Rs 140.50.

Let us remind you that in January of 2021, the price of an LPG cylinder in Delhi was Rs 694, and in February, it was hiked to Rs 719 per cylinder. The price was raised to Rs 769 on February 15. The price of an LPG cylinder was cut to Rs 819 in March. The price of domestic LPG in Delhi has risen to Rs 809 after a drop of Rs 10 in early April. The price of an LPG cylinder has risen by Rs 140.50 in a year.
