Mumbai: The Pod Hotel consists of several capsules with small beds and gives travelers an affordable overnight stay. In this, railway passengers and even common people can avail modern relaxation facilities very cheaply.
Indian Railways has given a wonderful gift to the passengers and in this episode, the first of its kind Pod Hotel has been opened at Mumbai Central Station, in which the passengers of Indian Railways and here Even the common people can now avail modern relaxation facilities at a very cheap price.
The fare is only 999 rupees
According to a senior official of the Western Railway (WR), a stay in this pod hotel will cost Rs 999 for 12 hours and Rs 1,999 for 24 hours. Modern facilities like WiFi, TV, a small locker, mirror and reading light will be provided in this hotel.

The entire pod hotel built on the first floor of the railway station is spread over three thousand square feet. It has 48 capsule-like rooms divided into classic pods, private pods for women, and differently-abled. The number of classic pods is 30, while 7 such pods have been made for ladies. Apart from this, the facility of 10 private pods and one pod for the differently-abled has been provided.
Minister of State inaugurated
The Pod Hotel consists of several capsule rooms with small beds and provides an affordable overnight stay for travelers. The first pod hotel of the Indian Railways was inaugurated digitally on Wednesday by the Union Minister of State for Railways, Raosaheb Danve from Churchgate station in South Mumbai. The minister also inaugurated several passenger facilities through video link.
In the program, Danve said that travelers will get facilities of accommodation at affordable rates in pod-concept hotels. Pod Hotel is also known as Capsule Hotel. He also inaugurated the Railway Public Grievance Office at Churchgate station.
