New Skoda Sedan Launched, There is new competition in the market for Ciaz, Verna, and City

The new Skoda Sedan is made in India and has been specially designed keeping in mind the needs of Indian customers. With the arrival of the Slavia in the premium sedan segment of the country, the heat has increased.

Skoda Auto India has taken the wraps off the all-new Slavia midsize sedan in the Indian market which is quite attractive in appearance and has been presented with sharp styling. Skoda has designed the new Slavia targeting young customers, whose price has not been announced by the company yet. The new sedan has been made in India and has been specially designed keeping in mind the needs of the Indian customers. With the arrival of this car in the premium sedan segment of the country, the heat has increased and the company has great hope of better performance from this car. Skoda India has started taking bookings for the new car.

Design

Skoda India has built the new Slavia on new-age style and design. The car gets Skoda’s trademark butterfly grille with chrome slats, sculpted bonnet, slim L-shaped LED projector headlamps paired with LED daytime running lights, C-shaped LED taillight, and good-looking lines throughout the body. Apart from this, two-color alloy wheels have also been provided with the car. This sedan is inspired by coupe styling.

Cabin and Features

Coming to the cabin, the new Skoda Slavia gets a twin-spoke steering wheel, similar to the one given with the Skoda Kushk. Here you will find a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system. However, unlike the Kushk, the new Slavia has been given a fully digital instrument cluster that comes with a digital cockpit. The cabin has been given a premium theme with two colors and features like AC vents, wireless charging, and a digital cockpit in the rear.

Variants, Combat, and Security

The Skoda Slavia is offered in 3 variants – Active, Ambition, and Style and the car is made available in 5 different colors including the Crystal Blue color option. Skoda Slavia will compete with cars like Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, Hyundai Verna, and Honda City. The company has also provided good safety features with the new sedan, which includes many features like 6 airbags, ISOFIX, TPMS, hill hold control, ABS with EBD, and ESC.

Engine and Transmission

Based on the MQB-A0-IN platform, the Slavia is offered with 1.0-litre TSI petrol and 1.5-litre TSI petrol engines. The less powerful engine of the car makes 113 Bhp power and 175 Nm peak torque, mated to 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic gearbox options. Next comes the 1.5-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine that churns out 150 Bhp of power and 250 Nm of peak torque. This engine comes with 6-speed manual and 7-speed DSG automatic transmission options.

Shape

Skoda Auto India’s new Slavia midsize sedan measures 4541 mm in length and 1750 mm in width, while the height of the car has been kept at 1487 mm. Compared to the Rapid, the all-new Slavia is 128 mm longer, 53 mm wider, and taller. The wheelbase of the Slavia is also 99 mm longer than the Rapid. Clearly, the new Slavia brings more cabin space and comfort with this size. The new car is also slightly bigger in size than the first generation Octavia.
