Platform ticket price reduced
Central Railway has announced that platform tickets will now be available again for Rs 10 instead of Rs 50. According to the order, platform tickets at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT), Dadar (Dadar), LLT, Thane, Kalyan, and Panvel stations will now be available for Rs 10.
Why did the Railways take this decision?
It is worth noting that when the cases of coronavirus were more in the country, then the Indian Railways had stopped the operation of normal trains. The numbers of normal trains had also changed during Kovid. He was put in the special category. Meanwhile, Indian Railways had also increased the price of platform tickets from Rs 10 to Rs 50.
