Demand for MSP will continue
The Morcha says that there was never such a big victory for the farmers. The organization says that we have proved that the people of the country grow up and this is not only a victory for the farmers but also for the common people. Right now the law related to the guarantee of MSP is yet to come, along with the Electricity Amendment Act and the cases registered against the farmers are also to be returned. The farmers said that the government should respond to our 6 demands by November 30, failing which a further strategy will be made in the meeting of December 1.
Kisan Morcha says that a meeting has been called on December 1 to decide the future strategy. Also, the proposed meeting on December 4 will also be held on time. The leaders of the organization said that a meeting has been called on December 1 at 11 o’clock and after that a letter will be sent to all the states including the Ministry of Home Affairs, demanding the withdrawal of the cases registered against the farmers. Apart from this, demand has also been made on behalf of the farmers to give compensation to the families of the farmers who lost their lives during the protest.
Bill passed by parliament
After the Lok Sabha, the bill related to the withdrawal of three agricultural laws was passed without discussion in the Rajya Sabha on Monday. The opposition continued to demand discussion on this bill in the House, but it was approved by the Upper House amid the uproar. Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar introduced the Agricultural Laws Repeal Bill 2021 in the House and during this, the opposition members started a ruckus.
Agriculture Minister Tomar accused Congress of taking a double stand and said that the opposition party had promised agricultural reforms in its manifesto. He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi showed a big heart by announcing the withdrawal of all three agricultural laws on Guru Nanak Jayanti and this shows the uniformity in his words and deeds.
He said that both the government and the opposition parties want the return of these laws, so there is no need for any discussion on the agriculture law repeal bill.
