UIDAI has given this information by tweeting that customers should not use the copy of PVC Aadhaar from the open market. Actually, UIDAI has appealed not to use such Aadhaar keeping in mind the safety and security of the customers.

UIDAI, which monitors the Aadhaar card, tweeted and said, ‘If a customer gets a PVC card or plastic card or Smart Aadhaar card made from the open market, then it will not be valid. UIDAI also told that customers can do their work through any Aadhaar card.

This Aadhaar card will be valid
UIDAI clearly wrote in its tweet, ‘Aadhaar or Aadhaar letter downloaded from uidai.gov.in or m-Aadhaar profile or Aadhaar PVC card, issued by UIDAI, will be considered as Aadhaar. Can be used for work related to the card.
Decision was taken keeping in mind the security
UIDAI said that this decision has been taken keeping in mind the safety of the customers. Actually, the Aadhaar PVC card made from the open market lacks security features. UIDAI said that any customer can order on the portal by paying Rs 50 to get the plastic card made. In this case, there may be security lapses.
Issue Aadhaar from UIDAI website
It is worth noting that many times customers apply for Aadhaar from the UIDAI website, then after the Aadhaar card is ready, a PDF copy of it is saved on the phone or computer. People get this copy lamination from the market and get PVC cards made for just a few rupees.
UIDAI has warned that shopkeepers make plastic Aadhaar cards but there is no security feature in it. That is, in such a situation, the security of your Aadhaar number can be tampered with. To avoid this, UIDAI should make a smart card only from the official website.
