Reserve Bank of India releases the list of holidays for the whole year in the month of January itself, so that employees and customers do not face any kind of trouble.
Let’s see the list of holidays in March
Banks will remain closed except in Agartala, Aizawl, Chennai, Gangtok, Guwahati, Imphal, Kolkata, New Delhi, Panaji, Patna, and Shillong. On March 3, Mahashivratri is on March 3. Due to this, banks in Gangtok will remain closed. Banks in Aizawl will remain closed on March 4 due to Chapchar Kut. 6th March is a weekly holiday because of a Sunday. March 12 is Saturday Banks will not work as March 13 is Sunday. Closed on March 18 due to Holi/Dhuleti/Dol Jatra except for Bengaluru, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Imphal, Kochi, Kolkata, and Thiruvananthapuram.
Banks are closed in Bhubaneswar, Imphal, and Patna on Sunday 20th March due to Holi/Yaosang on 19th March. Banks remain closed in Patna on 22 March due to Bihar Day.
March 26 is a Saturday i.e. the fourth Saturday of the month.
Banks will not be able to function as March 27 is a Sunday.
