Now a new name has been added to this episode of Malabar Gold. Recently, due to an advertisement, people are expressing their displeasure over this jewelry brand.

Actually, Malabar Gold recently released an advertisement regarding the Akshaya Tritiya festival. The advertisement features Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor. People say that Akshaya Tritiya is a holy festival for Hindus and people buy jewelry on this occasion. Users are raising questions why did Kareena Kapoor not put a dot in the advertisement for the festival of Hindus?

Boycotts trending on social media

Several users are updating the post on Twitter with the hashtags #Boycott_MalabarGold and #No_Bindi_No_Business. One user wrote, ‘A new advertisement of Malabar Gold is a new example of mocking Hindu festivals. Bindi is important in the traditional dress of Indian women. Making fun of Hindu traditions and expecting Hindus to spend money for you… not anymore.’

Users got hurt by not applying bindi

Another user, using the hashtags ‘Boycott Malabar Gold’ and ‘No Bindi, No Business’, wrote, ‘The so-called responsible jeweler is releasing an advertisement for Akshaya Tritiya and Kareena Kapoor is without a bindi. Do they respect Hindu culture?’ One user wrote, ‘For Hindus, a bindi is more than a red dot. If a brand like Malabar Gold does not try to understand this or deliberately ignores it, then the time has come for Hindus to show such a brand.

Jewelery company Malabar is so old

Some users are trying to connect the whole matter with the marriage of Kareena Kapoor and the religion of the owner of Malabar Gold. Kareena Kapoor is married to Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan. According to the information given on the website of the company, Malabar Gold was established in 1993 by a team of entrepreneurs under the leadership of MP Ahmed. The headquarter of the company is in Kozhikode city of Kerala.
