IRCTC Confirm Ticket Refund Rules: With the changing times, railways are trying to provide more and more facilities to the passengers. Nowadays most the people use IRCTC app to book railway tickets. But, many times we have to cancel our plan even after making a travel plan and booking a ticket.

In such a situation, it often comes to people’s minds how much will be charged for canceling the ticket. How much refund will be given on cancellation of a confirmed ticket (Confirmed Ticket Refund Policy)? So let us tell you about the refund you get on canceling the confirmed ticket today-

Rules for cancellation of the confirmed ticket-

  • If you cancel the general ticket 2 hours before the departure of the train, then you will have to pay a fee of Rs 60 per ticket.
  • For cancellation of sleeper class ticket, Rs 120 will have to be paid as a cancellation charge.
  • On the other hand, if you cancel the ticket for the AC chair car and third AC (3 AC tickets), then you will have to cancel Rs 180.
  • On the other hand, for the cancellation of a second AC ticket, Rs 200 will have to be paid. On the other hand, if you cancel the ticket for the First AC and Executive class, you will have to pay a fee of Rs 240.
  • GST charge has also been levied from the passenger on cancellation of railway AC class ticket. At the same time, you will not have to pay any kind of GST on sleepers and general class tickets.

Ticket Fee- If you cancel the ticket for more than two days to 12 hours before the scheduled departure time of the train, you will be deducted 25 percent of the total ticket fee. On the other hand, if you cancel the ticket before 12 hours to 4 hours, then 50 percent of your ticket fee will be deducted. Along with this, if you cancel the ticket within 4 hours, then you will not get any kind of refund. You can also cancel 30 minutes in advance on a RAC ticket. To cancel the ticket in the RAC sleeper class, you will have to pay a fee of Rs 60. On the other hand, Rs 65 is deducted on the cancellation of the AC RAC ticket.
