Recharging with Paytm became expensive, know how much it will charge

Paytm is apparently charging some of its consumers a modest fee for mobile recharges. This charge can range from Rs 1 to Rs 6. This is not just applicable to Paytm Wallet recharges, but also to UPI, Debit, and Credit card recharges.

India’s largest payment platform Paytm has given a big blow to its users. If you also recharge your mobile with Paytm then be careful. No additional charge will have to be paid for mobile recharge from the Paytm platform. A few days back, PhonePe started charging additional charges for recharge. It is being told that now for mobile recharge from Paytm, you will have to pay an additional charge of Rs 1 to Rs 6.

Know how much it will cost
According to the report, users will have to pay surcharge on recharging from the Paytm platform. It is being told that this charge will be taken up to Rs 100. This charge will be taken from selected users during the update. According to the report, for mobile recharge in the initial days, the customer will have to pay an additional charge of Rs 1 to Rs 6. Applicable for app and website
Additional charges in the form of convenience fee, platform fee, and a surcharge will be charged from the customer for mobile recharge from the Paytm platform. This is not just applicable to Paytm Wallet recharges, but also to UPI, Debit, and Credit card recharges. This applies to both the app and the website.

PhonePe had implemented a surcharge
Let us tell you that PhonePe has already started charging surcharge. PhonePe users are paying a surcharge on mobile recharge above Rs 50. Now Paytm will also charge additional charges from its users on recharging the phone. Although both PhonePe and Paytm are yet to officially disclose those norms. If customers want to avoid additional charges, they can switch the recharge function on other payment platforms like Google Pay and Amazon Pay. At present, these platforms are not charging any extra fees from the users. Major telecom companies Airtel, Jio, and Vodafone Idea in India have their respective apps for both Android and iOS that allow in-app recharging through UPI and other modes of payment.
