According to the report, users will have to pay surcharge on recharging from the Paytm platform. It is being told that this charge will be taken up to Rs 100. Applicable for app and website
Additional charges in the form of convenience fee, platform fee, and a surcharge will be charged from the customer for mobile recharge from the Paytm platform. PhonePe had implemented a surcharge

Now Paytm will also charge additional charges from its users on recharging the phone. Although both PhonePe and Paytm are yet to officially disclose those norms. If customers want to avoid additional charges, they can switch the recharge function on other payment platforms like Google Pay and Amazon Pay. At present, these platforms are not charging any extra fees from the users. Major telecom companies Airtel, Jio, and Vodafone Idea in India have their respective apps for both Android and iOS that allow in-app recharging through UPI and other modes of payment.
