BTS: RM has reacted to reports about the group’s hiatus after their Festa dinner. Here’s what the BTS leader has to say.
BTS leader RM shared a lengthy letter addressing the group’s fantasy, ARMY, late on Wednesday. Taking on Weavers, RM spoke about his discussions with fellow BTS members Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook during a Festa dinner on Tuesday. The members talked about the group’s future activities and had tears in their eyes after speaking about their hiatus.
As translated by Twitter user @eternalhyyh, RM said, “After the show aired, this is the most calls I’ve received since debuting. When I posted the screenshots and the article title (the ones sent to me) But took a look, they had a lot of provocative and partially explained keywords like disband, gap, big announcement, etc. It’s not that we didn’t know it would happen and we didn’t prepare for it, But in reality, it feels bitter.”
“It’s not like I was expecting you to see the whole video where we cry and express everything… whether it’s a sort of erratic material like the Bangtan ‘company dinner’, or the symbolism of June 13th, The date it was aired.. That video was completely dedicated to all the forces who are with us for the last 9 years,” he also wrote.
RM also said, “Of course, there will be reactions from outsiders that we are ruckus, we are talking excessive and powerful, etc… same thing’, definitely something special that only BTS and ARMY have. Between exists, as much content as we’ve released over the course of about 10 years that we’ve been running non-stop. This feeling is a question we’ve received countless times through interviews so far, but for some reason, It is quite difficult to describe in a few words and I find it difficult too.”
RM continued, “Anyway, it was a confession (of love) and a confession (of sin) that we had to make for all our fans who have been communicating with us so far without putting a value on that attribute. Although Jin People who have seen the video will understand that just as the song’s title suggests Yet to Come, it’s true that what we really wanted to say is that it’s not the end. And since only that part was screenshotted Where I cried and continues to spread everywhere (without any context), I also wonder if I was swept away under the influence of alcohol.”
He continued, “In fact, it seems that having the courage to be honest always ends in unnecessary misunderstandings and creates disaster. What I wanted to say is that we are two (individual + group). We spoke as we spoke, and we just shared all the feelings that were poured into that process through courage and tears. I believe that if you are an army man who knows us, you will be able to understand it. And I will not doubt it even once. Everything we have said in the video.”
“Although Jungkook or Taehyung has already explained it well via Vlive, we have always been open about BTS’s long-term future. Although there was never a time when we didn’t fight and get angry, I believe it is trial and error to mature as an adult from our early days of social life. Although I fear this post will become another mess.. or be an act that will all the existing noises. I (came) to briefly talk about the main points,” he further wrote.
“Thank you to everyone who watched the video, and sent us good support, love, and energy, whether from afar or near. I will continue to work hard to show you the better side as a team and also as an individual. Thank you,” concluded his post.
