How is the ticket confirmed?

If someone made a reservation in the third AC of an express train to go from New Delhi to Kolkata and he gets the 70th number on the waiting list. If there is a train for the next day and it is also necessary to leave, then he will have to contact someone who can get his ticket confirmed through the EQ quota. Once the request for EQ is filed, he has to wait till the finalization of the chart which is prepared a few hours before the departure of the train. After the release of this chart, that person will see a CNF (Verified) status next to their name. That is, in the event of the emergency quota being confirmed, that person can sleep comfortably through rail travel and go to his home.

Usually, only the MP or MLA of a district requests this quota. He writes letters to the people of his area to issue EQs from the Ministry of Railways. So such people who keep in touch with the MP of their village home, in case of emergency traveling they first cut their waiting ticket and then get a letter made by the MP to confirm their ticket. As soon as this letter reaches the Railway Board, their work is done.
