Amazon and Indian Railway join hands: Strengthening the relationship with Indian Railways, Amazon India has made a big announcement. Amazon in association with Indian Railways has extended the delivery of customer packages to more than 325 intercities. According to the company, this is a 5-fold increase in railway lanes since 2019. The company is offering one-day and two-day delivery to the customers, especially in remote areas of the country. With this, Amazon India is now carrying customer packages with Indian Railways in cities like Harsuguda, Ratnagiri, Kurnool, Nanded, Bareilly, Bokaro, and Rudrapur.
Amazon’s service will be better
With the help of Indian Railways and the e-commerce company Amazon India, customers can now get their purchases on more than 110 “intercity” routes. In a statement issued on Wednesday, the company said that it has entered into this agreement to ensure delivery of its goods to the customers within one to two days.
Railways and Amazon started working together in 2019
The corporation began collaborating with the Indian Railways in 2019, according to Amazon. This is one of the key reasons the business keeps its commitment to consumers in the country’s hinterland to deliver goods in one to two days. More than 110 intercity lines are now being worked on with Railways.
Service will also start in these cities
According to the statement, Amazon India is now partnering with Indian Railways to deliver its goods to customers in cities and towns like Jharsuguda, Ratnagiri, Kurnool, Nanded, Bareilly, Bokaro, and Rudrapur.
