Following a protracted delay, Tesla has begun taking reservations for its first Model Y electric SUV in India. The starting ex-showroom price is Rs 59.89 lakh, and the firm offers a booking option on its official website.

This car may be reserved on the company’s official website for just Rs 22,220. This reservation can be made anywhere in India, albeit delivery priority will initially be given to a few key cities.

Which varieties are available?

In India, the Tesla Model Y comes in two different models. The first is Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD), which can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.9 seconds and has a 500 km WLTP range. This variant’s ex-showroom price has been maintained at Rs 59.89 lakh. The second version, Long Range RWD, can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.6 seconds and has a WLTP range of 622 kilometers. It costs Rs 67.89 lakh (ex-showroom) and has a top speed of 201 km/h.

What makes technology and design unique?

The Tesla Model Y boasts a sleek and technologically advanced cabin, with a fully digital driving experience, six eye-catching color options, and 19-inch crossflow alloy wheels. This car also comes with Tesla’s high-end Full Self-Driving (FSD) technology, which can be added for an additional Rs 6 lakh.

Where will the initial delivery occur?

Regarding delivery, Tesla India has stated that this SUV will initially be offered in key cities such as Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, and Gurugram. Dates for the phase-2 deliveries in other cities will be disclosed later.

Procedure for Booking

The entire booking procedure takes place online, and there are two steps involved in the payment process. A non-refundable payment of Rs 22,220 is required in the first step, and a second, non-refundable payment of Rs 3,00,000 must be made within 7 days. TCS (Tax Collected at Source) is included in both of these payments. Customers who are interested in making a reservation can do so by going to the official Tesla website.
