The car will be launched in the Indian market by 2024-25.

For the past few days, there was discussion that Maruti Suzuki’s electric car could be economical. Its cost was estimated to be in the range of Rs 7.5 lakh and Rs 10 lakh. In response to a question from Moneycontrol, Bhargava stated, “The price of the next electric automobile will be more than Rs 10 lakh. The EV production will take place at the Suzuki manufacturing plant in Gujarat and we expect to launch these in the Indian market by 2024-25. Will be done. .”

Many electric cars will be launched in 2 years
Bhargava did not reveal the price of the electric car but confirmed that the car will not be priced below Rs 10 lakh, even if it is completely made in India. Bhargava’s statement comes at a time when companies like Tata Motors and Mahindra (M&M) are rapidly expanding their EV portfolio. MG Auto, Hyundai India, and Kia India are just a few of the businesses getting ready to introduce their electric vehicles (e-cars). A total of 25 electric cars can be launched in the Indian market in the next one or two years.

In response to a question from the shareholders of indigenously manufactured electric car batteries,
We anticipate strong market consumer acceptability, according to Bhargava. These are carefully designed and made. There will be a lot of indigenization because of the battery. Suzuki Motor Corp. is constructing a battery factory in Gujarat. Suzuki Motor Corporation (SMC), the parent firm of Maruti Suzuki, recently invested Rs 7,300 crore to establish a plant in Gujarat to produce e-Advance Chemistry cell batteries for electric vehicles. On August 28, Prime Minister Narendra Modi opened the facility.
