EPFO Alert: Vital information for owners of PF accounts! EPFO issued a warning, warning of impending catastrophe.

EPFO: Employees’ Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) has sent out a warning to all users. No account holder should ever, even accidentally, publish information about their account on social media, according to a request from EPFO made to all of its members. Account holders may become the target of significant scams as a result. Fraudsters have the ability to steal money from your account if they have access to information about your EPF account.

According to EPFO, the organization never requests Aadhaar, PAN, UAN, or bank information from its members. Be careful and don’t divulge any information if someone requests it over the phone or on social media. Don’t answer these phone calls or reply to any phone texts.

EPFO gave information

The EPFO has tweeted a warning to all of its users, saying, “Never ask your members to share personal information like Aadhaar, PAN, UAN, bank account, or OTP through phone or social media.” According to EPFO, no service will ever require payment via social media, WhatsApp, or any other platform.

phishing online fraud

It is important to note that people put their large earnings into their PF accounts for retirement needs. Fraudsters use phishing attacks to assault the account since they are fully aware that they will instantly receive a large sum of money. Actually, phishing is a sort of internet fraud in which the depositor is deceived into divulging crucial account information, which is subsequently used to clear the depositor’s account.

Never share this information

PAN, Aadhaar, UAN, and your PF account number are not inadvertently shared by PF account holders when relevant information is provided in the account. These are the kinds of details that could lead to the emptying of your account. People committing such fraud frequently leave one job and take them elsewhere. These people are required to file a police report against any phishing call or message in which your personal information is requested.
