Indian Railways: Railways started great facility for crores of passengers, bat and bat for night travellers

Indian Railways: Passengers prefer to travel in long-distance trains at night. But many times the Railway Board received complaints that due to sleep, the passenger missed the destination station and had to get down at the next station. The Railway Board has launched a new facility to address these issues. If you avail of this facility then you will not face the problem of missing the station during the night journey.

You will be woken up 20 minutes before the station

After the introduction of the new facility of Indian Railways for the passengers traveling at night, now you will be able to sleep peacefully on the train. During this, you will not have to worry about missing the station from where you have to get off. You will be awakened by this railroad-instituted service 20 minutes before the station’s arrival. Right now people traveling at night are not able to sleep properly due to fear of missing the station.

The name of this service started by the Indian Railways is ‘Destination Alert Wakeup Alarm’ (Destination Alert Wake Up Alarm). Information regarding passengers dozing off in trains has frequently been provided to the Railway Board. This facility has now been established by Railways to address any such issues. This service was launched by Railways under inquiry service number 139.

The facility will be available from 11 pm to 7 am,

Under this, the traveling passengers can ask for the facility of alert on the 139 number inquiry system. Any passenger can avail of this facility, which is available from 11 PM to 7 AM. This will give you the advantage that on taking this service, you will be picked up 20 minutes before arrival at the station. The fee for this is only Rs. Your phone will receive a notification 20 minutes before the station’s arrival. During this, you can pack the goods, etc.

In this way, to start this service

‘Destination Alert Wakeup Alarm’, you have to call IRCTC helpline 139. After selecting the language, you have to first press the number 7 and then the number 2 for the destination alert. Now, when prompted, input your 10-digit PNR. To confirm, dial 1. You will receive a wake-up call if you do this 20 minutes prior to your arrival at the station.
