The newly launched facelift Brezza comes with a Hybrid system. Maruti has added a small Hybrid system in the new Brezza to increase the power of the car as well as the mileage. This system is not as strong as the hybrid system provided in the Grand Vitara but it surely gives a positive effect on the Brezza’s performance. Almost every new and upcoming SUV is taking the advantage of this Hybrid technology and the new Brezza is equipped with this system, many people did not know about this feature of the Brezza.

What is Maruti’s Smart Hybrid Feature

In the Hybrid System, an extra lithium-ion battery is added to the car to give power to the wheels when required. Due to this the performance and mileage of the car increase. The battery charges itself when the brakes of the car are applied or the gas pedal is released because of the regenerative braking system. When you are driving the car at a normal and constant speed and you suddenly want to overtake the car in front, that is when this system kicks in and the battery provides extra power to the wheels alongside the engine. This combination puts less pressure on the engine due to which you get more mileage and quick performance.

The new Brezza comes with a 1.5-liter petrol engine which makes 103PS and 137Nm. Option of both manual and automatic gearbox is available. The Company claims a mileage of 20kmpl on the manual variant.
