Apple has started work on its fourth-generation iPhone SE. The previous launch cycle of the company suggests that Apple may launch this iPhone by 2024. But what makes it unique is that its features are already being spoken about. There are rumors that the iPhone will have a smaller display. According to Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the phone will get a 6.1-inch display. And Rose Young says the company can choose between a 6.1-inch or 5.7-inch size.
Highlights
- The design of the iPhone SE 4 could be similar to that of the iPhone XR, and it is expected to have rounded corners.
- Touch ID is expected to be removed in the new iPhone.
- The A16 chip can be used to power the Apple iPhone SE 4.
All iPhone SE models reportedly include the same pre-built framework as the previous iPhone. The current iPhone SE (3rd generation) features a 4.7-inch display, comes with a Touch ID home button, and is based on the iPhone 8.
According to tipster Jon Prosser, the design of the iPhone 4 could be similar to the iPhone XR, and it is expected to have rounded corners.
This time, it is rumored that Touch ID will be replaced with another type of authentication in the upcoming iPhone. The iPhone SE model will reportedly feature Notch this time, according to a report from Apple. However, it is not known whether the camera with support in Notch will support Face ID or not.
The new iPhone may have the iPhone 14 chipset
The latest iPhone SE 3 is powered by the A15 Bionic chip found in the iPhone 13 series. Apart from this, the A16 chip has been given in the iPhone 14 series and it is believed that it will power the regular iPhone 15 as well. Hence, it is expected that this chipset could be used to power the Apple iPhone SE 4.
Experts say that there is a possibility of 5G connectivity in the upcoming iPhone. This is because by 2024, 5G network will come in most places.
