Jeep has started assembling the Grand Cherokee in India. This will be the fourth Jeep car to be built at the plant in India. Jeep Grand Cherokee can be given a 2-liter turbo petrol engine, which can come with an 8-speed automatic gearbox.
Talking about the features, features like a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, 10.25-inch front passenger display and 10-inch head-up display can be found in its cabin. Not only this, the list of features is going to be very long.
The new Grand Cherokee may also get features like a panoramic sunroof, three-point seatbelts for all passengers, and ADAS (Forward Collision Warning, Adaptive Cruise Control, Driver Drasticity Detection, and Blind Spot Detection, etc.).
Its price in India can be close to Rs 85 lakh (ex-showroom). It will compete with vehicles like Mercedes-Benz GLE, Audi Q7, BMW X5, and Volvo XC90 in the market.
According to media reports, only 50 units of the SUV will be manufactured in November and December. Then, manufacturing will be ramped up based on customer feedback.
