Maruti Alto 800 and K10
Maruti Suzuki sells two cars under the Alto name, which are the Alto 800 and the Alto K10. Of these two, the Alto K10 is more updated. More features are also available in it and the engine is also bigger. However, its price is also more than Alto 800. The price of the Alto 800 starts at Rs 3.39 lakh while the price of the Alto K10 starts at Rs 3.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The CNG option is also available in both. Mileage of more than 30 is available on CNG. Alto 800 comes with a CNG kit long back but Alto K10 has been launched recently with a CNG kit.
Renault KWID
French automaker Renault has the entry-level hatchback Kwid in India. Its starting price is Rs 4.64 lakh. It gets two engine options – 0.8L petrol (54PS power and 72Nm torque) and 1.0L petrol (68PS power and 91Nm torque). Both the engines get a 5-speed manual gearbox as standard while the bigger engine also gets the option of an automatic transmission. It gets an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system (with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay), keyless entry, electric ORVMs, dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, and rear parking sensors (standard). It also gives good mileage.
