Volkswagen Tiguan Exclusive Edition: The SUV segment is growing rapidly in India. Car manufacturers are focusing on SUVs as the sales of cars in this segment have increased. In such a situation, now another new SUV has entered the Indian market. Volkswagen India has launched the Tiguan Exclusive Edition in the country. The ex-showroom price of the new Volkswagen Tiguan Exclusive Edition is Rs 33.49 lakh. It will get few cosmetic updates as compared to the standard Tiguan SUV. It is offered in two color schemes, which are Pure White and Oryx White.
The new Volkswagen Tiguan Exclusive Edition gets load sill protection at the rear, new sporty 18-inch alloy wheels, aluminum pedals, and dynamic hubcaps. Exclusive Edition badging is also available on its body panels. The SUV is powered by a 2.0-liter TSI petrol engine that outputs 187bhp and 320Nm. The engine comes mated to a 7-speed DSG transmission. It gets Volkswagen’s 4Motion all-wheel-drive system.
Announcing the launch of the Volkswagen Tiguan Exclusive Edition, Ashish Gupta, Brand Director, Volkswagen Passenger Cars India said, “Volkswagen Tiguan is our global best-seller, which has received an unprecedented response from customers. We are delighted to introduce the ‘Exclusive Edition’ of Tiguan with additional design elements and utility features. It’s more attractive.”
Will compete with Tucson, Aircross, and Compass
He further said that ‘it has been prepared on the MQB platform. Volkswagen Tiguan is a perfect combination of style, performance, premium-ness, safety, and class-leading features.’ The new Volkswagen Tiguan Exclusive Edition will directly compete with the Hyundai Tucson, Citroen C5 Aircross, and Jeep Compass.
