The Ministry of Power has said that from January 1, 2023, electric water heaters with 1 star will not be valid. This new rule is going to be implemented from January 1. That is, from January 1, electric water heaters with one star will not be sold.

Ministry of Energy issued a new notification

The table has been issued in the notification by the Ministry. This table describes the verification of star-rated heaters. Electric water heaters with 1 star will not be valid from 1 January 2023 to 31 December 2025.

These heaters consume more power

According to the notification, a 1-star electric water heater of 6 liters to 200 liters capacity will not be valid from next year. Let me tell you, devices with a 1-star rating consume more power and also spoil the budget.

The ministry said that there is a need to upgrade the energy performance level of storage-type electric water heaters. So that less energy is needed. If you also use a 1-star water heater, then use a heater with more stars, because they heat the water quickly with less power consumption.
