Maruti Suzuki India Limited finally seems ready to introduce its first electric vehicle. According to the news, the company will introduce the next year’s Auto Expo 2023 Maruti EV, which will be an SUV. It is also being told that the size of this car will be around the Hyundai Creta present in India. At the same time, the arrival of this new EV may threaten the already existing Tata Ev and MG Ev in the Indian market. Apart from this, according to reports, Maruti EV can run up to 500 km on a single charge.

Maruti Suzuki EV
Autocar India has learned that Maruti Suzuki India Limited will showcase its first all-electric compact SUV at the Auto Expo 2023. The model will preview the company’s all-new electric skateboard architecture and will be built in collaboration with Toyota. Toyota would later introduce a similar product under its own banner.
The new EV is codenamed YY8 and will be based on the SUV 27PL platform. Apart from this, this battery car of Maruti can be offered between 13 to 15 lakh rupees. If this e-car comes in this price then it will be great value for money.
Apart from this, it is believed that this YY8 SUV will be similar in size to the MG ZS EVs present in the Indian market and its range will be around the Tata Nexon EV Prime. Apart from this, this e-car can be launched in the market by January-February 2025.
