Pending Car Orders of Maruti: Maruti Suzuki sells the maximum number of cars every year in the country. Last year in 2022 also, the company sold more than 1.5 million cars. Now the year 2023 has started and the company already has more than 4 lakh orders pending. Maruti Suzuki cars are in demand and bookings are in full swing with customers taking the pending orders to 4.05 lakh units this month. According to a senior company official, the bookings for the recently introduced SUVs – Jimny and Fronx have also increased the pending orders. Let us tell you that the bookings of Jimny have crossed the 11,000 mark while the bookings of Fronx have reached close to 4,000 units.
In the third quarter ending December last year (2022), the company had pending orders for 3.63 lakh vehicles. Of these, 1.19 lakh orders were for newly launched vehicles in the market. Shashank Srivastava, senior executive officer (marketing and sales), at Maruti Suzuki India, said, “We currently have bookings of around 4,05,000 vehicles, which are pending. This means that customer inquiries about booking rates and trains are better addressed. He said that as compared to January 2022, this month (January 2023) inquiries are 22 percent while booking is 16 percent more.
Srivastava said that the pending bookings have also increased due to the company’s recently introduced two new SUV models – Jimny and Fronx. Both these vehicles were showcased at the Auto Expo earlier this month. Since then their booking is also going on. Prior to these, the company is also getting good bookings for the new Brezza (facelift) and the new Grand Vitara.
