Noida Traffic Police: The difficulties of those who drive old cars in Noida are going to increase. Noida Traffic Police is going to start a new campaign from February 1, under which the cars which are overdue will be seized. The traffic police have also prepared a list of 1.19 lakh cars. Not only this, some of the cars included in the list are also being used by government departments.
According to the information, the Noida Traffic Police will start a campaign against those cars whose registration has expired. 6 teams have been formed to seize the cars whose registration has been canceled for being 15 years (Petrol) and 10 years (Diesel) old. This campaign will start on February 1.
List of 1.19 lakh cars:
Noida’s RTO office has sent notices to over 1,19,000 petrol and diesel cars whose registrations had expired last year. These cars include 23 such cars which are being used for DM Office, Police Commissionerate, District Court, Trade Tax Commissioner, Family Welfare Department, and Surveillance Medical Officer.

Z numbers are more than 15 years old, starting with UP16. They will be targeted first. The Central Government had issued a scrappage policy to dispose of old vehicles. However, people are not using this policy even after the registration of the vehicle is over. There are 1.19 lakh such vehicles in Gautam Buddha Nagar. Two months back, notices were sent to the owners of these vehicles. Owners are allowed to take these vehicles to other cities after taking NOC.
