The government has revoked the five-year-old traffic ticket. Thousands of automobile owners in Uttar Pradesh are greatly relieved by this decision. He has avoided paying the challan thanks to this choice. This ruling affects all of the challans issued in Uttar Pradesh between January 1, 2017, and December 31, 2021. Along with this, relief has also been provided for the cases that are still pending in various courts. Its inclusion of many different kinds of vehicles, including cars and bikes, makes it unique.

All divisional transport officials have received instructions in this regard. Following receipt of the court’s list of open traffic tickets, the directives from Transport Commissioner Chandra Bhushan Singh state that the tickets should be taken down from the e-challan portal. Many people will benefit from the government’s action as a result.

All challans that were deducted between January 1, 2017,

and December 31, 2021, will be canceled in accordance with this directive. As of June 2023, this system is in place thanks to ordinance number 2. With this, vehicle owners can get rid of their outdated challans and have the option to forgo challan payments.

You should not, however, become anxious if your invoice is for a period of time after January 1, 2022. You now have the option to complete an online traffic challan from the convenience of your home. In other words, the drivers won’t have to pay the challan at the traffic police station. Once you have the car number, you can pay the challan for this service by going to the UP Traffic Police’s official website. A message is also delivered to the vehicle owner’s mobile number when the challan has been subtracted. They can pay the challan on time and receive information about it thanks to this.
