Petrol Price Today: Did petrol-diesel become cheaper after the Finance Minister’s statement

Petrol-diesel price in February: The prices of petrol-diesel have remained stable for almost nine months. But even today petrol is being sold above Rs 100 in many cities. Recently, after a statement by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, there was a wave of happiness among the people. People expected that in one stroke the price of petrol could be reduced by Rs 18 per litre. The finance minister had said that petroleum products could be brought under the ambit of GST if the states were ready to reduce the cost. If the state governments are ready for this then it is a long process. But after this, there can be a big drop in the price.
