River Indie E-Scooter: Due to the competition in this segment, one after the other two-wheeler manufacturers are busy in launching better products. Today, Bengaluru-based electric start-up River launched its ‘Indie E-Scooter’ electric scooter. According to the company, this is the country’s first SUV scooter. As per the company’s claim, the Indy e-scooter offers 55 liters of total space, with 43 liters of boot space and 12 liters of glove box space.

Power pack

For this independent e-scooter, River uses a 6.7 kW electric motor and a 4 kWh battery pack. While during charging, it can go from empty to 80% charged in 5 hours.

Power Range

The electric scooter is capable of offering a full charge riding range of up to 120 km (on Eco mode) and has a top speed of 90 km/h. The Indy e-scooter is available in three riding modes (Eco, Second Ride, and Third Rush Mode).

Design

In terms of design, it has been given the signature twin beam headlamp and unique tail lamp, which sets it apart from the rest of the scooters. At the same time, the clip-on handlebar present in it provides better handling as well as stability, due to which it also works to protect the panel of the e-scooter in case of a fall. Apart from this, this scooter has been designed to support riders and improve their riding position. This scooter has been presented with the widest seat in its segment, the manufacturer claims, which serves to increase user comfort. The front foot peg provided in it has also been noticed for the first time in the scooter category at the same time. To further improve the suspension of this electric scooter, twin rear hydraulic suspension, and telescopic front have been used.

Worth

Indy E-Scooter, the river startup company that made it, has been introduced at an initial price of Rs 1,25,000. The company can start the delivery of this scooter in August 2023 this year.
