Are you suffering from an infection or a sore throat? Are you experiencing coughing or experiencing difficulty breathing? If so, be on the lookout. These days, a triple attack of the flu, also known as H3N2 virus fever, is sweeping across India. This is why everyone else is feeling upset. The doctors are unsure about the reason behind this fever that is viral. Since three kinds of virus fevers are being seen in India.
The primary type of fever is the H3N2 virus fever
Between December 15 and now half of all cases of fever have been recorded for this virus fever. Children and older adults are rapidly becoming victims of this virus. So far, 6 people have died in the country because of the H3N2 virus.
The second kind of fever is adenovirus fever.
It is spreading throughout North India including Delhi. The largest amount of cases of the virus has been recorded from West Bengal. Children are among the biggest affected by this virus.
The third kind of fever is Coronavirus.
As per the Union Health Ministry, on March 7 there were 326 corona cases occurred across the country. After 67 days, corona cases that are active have risen to more than 3000 across the country. There are a maximum of 1474 cases active in Kerala and 445 cases in Karnataka and 379 cases in Maharashtra.
Triple flu fever where the symptoms of all three viruses are the same.
The three conditions are all viral fever. The reason for this is that the symptoms are almost identical. This is why patients and doctors are not sure about the virus that is causing this fever. The results show that six out of 10 patients that were examined are positive for H3N2. In terms of the typical symptoms of all three viruses, each virus affects the respiratory tract and causes breathing difficulties. In all three cases of viral flu, patients, cough is a major issue.
The muscles and pain are common in all three cases of viral flu. However, chills, fevers vomiting sore throat, muscular and body pain as well as stomach upsets are typical signs. In this triple flu attack, the most deadly virus is the H3N2 virus. Because of this, the deaths of six individuals in the country were also confirmed. But, more investigation is required to determine the cause of death caused by H3N2.
The fear of H3N2 following Corona
According to ICMR Since December 15, the H3N2 virus was detected in the majority of patients suffering from fever. The majority of patients admitted to hospitals suffer from H3N2. Of the hospitalized patients, 92% of them had a temperature or fever. Eighty-six percent of them had coughing and 27% suffered from difficulty breathing. 10 percent of patients suffering from H3N2 require admission to oxygen, and 77% need to be admitted to ICU.
Doctors’ recommendations
In fact, every year, flu is a major issue during the current season, but it is completely cured in one week. If there are illnesses like the immune system and BP sugar levels within your body the flu could be fatal. Beware of the flu and do not be afraid when you catch the flu. You should only take medicines on the recommendation of your doctor. In this scenario, even with no lab tests, it’s getting hard for physicians to figure out the source of the illness such as coronavirus, the H3N2 virus, or even adenovirus. In this case, it is recommended to have a test performed in consultation with the doctor.
How to recognize
These three viral infections are being spread across the nation. On conducting tests and confirming the presence of all three coronaviruses, adenoviruses, and H3N2 are identified. If you are looking to determine the virus, as with Covid tests, it is done by providing a sample. In this case, specimens are collected from your nose and throat.
How can you recognize the presence of H3N2 fever? Experts have stated that If the corona test is negative, you can be sure that it’s an H3N2 virus. In contrast to normal flu can be cured within two or three days for H3N2, it takes an extended time. It can take up to a week.
How do you stay away from this H3N2 infection?
The majority of the steps that ICMR has provided to stop the H3N2 virus are exactly identical to those that were taught to you during the corona outbreak.
What should you do?
- Make a face mask.
- Make sure to wash your hands regularly with soap or disinfectant.
- Use social distancing to follow.
- Protect your nose and mouth when you’re sneezing.
- If you’re suffering from a fever, you should only take paracetamol.
What not to do
- Do not give hugs or handshakes.
- Do not spit on public areas.
- Avoid crowded locations.
- Do not take antibiotics.
Antibiotics are not a factor in the treatment of viral fever. If any other bacterial infection that is not a virus is detected on the test, only take antibiotics on the recommendation of a doctor and follow the treatment.
