The obsession with the vehicle and its VIP number speaks something about some people. Many bid thousands of rupees on a VIP number in order to secure the car number of their choosing, and this is why. Recently, a similar occurrence in Kaithal, Haryana, came to light.
In the SDM office here,
there was a huge frenzy among people to obtain VIP numbers. The newly launched series’ 33 numbers were placed up for auction. The base prize was set at Rs 50,000 for many of these numbers and at Rs 20,000 for others.
The highest bid for HR 08F in this series
was entered at position 7777. Sandeep Moudgil shocked everyone by making a bid of Rs 4 lakh 50 000 for this. This number had a starting cost of 50,000 rupees. For his Fortuner automobile, he has purchased this number.
In a similar vein, the number 8888 sold for Rs 1 lakh 5,000.
Number 1111 sold for 95,000. Number 1000 for 80,000. And Number 9999 for 60,000. All of these numbers had a Rs 50,000 base price. Similarly to this, the 1100 number’s basic price of 20,000 was increased by 36,000.
Moreover, 20 thousand rupees were obtained for the 0405 number,
and 20 thousand more were issued for 3535 and 3800, respectively. In the base price of 50000, 2222 in 50000, 5555 also in 50000, 2000 in 50000, 8000 in 50000, 3000 in 50000, 0777 also in 50000, and 0888 also in 50000 rupees. In this auction, bidders put down 16 lakh rupees.
