one of the suppliers of the Cupertino-based behemoth is encountering difficulty with punching dynamic island cutouts on its display panels. The 15 and 15 Plus will have these screens.

The iPhone maker is shifting mass production performance plans of the cheaper iPhone 15 models to May and asking Samsung to make them. This program is a month ahead of the initial June 2023 production timeframe. Apple is likely relocating manufacturing to give Samsung time to focus on mass manufacture of the high-end display panels that will be included on the 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max/Ultra versions.
