Vivo V60 5G: In India, Vivo has introduced the Vivo V60, a new smartphone in its V series. The Vivo V50, which was released in February of this year, has been upgraded into this phone. High-end features of the V60 include an IP68 and IP69 rated 50MP telephoto camera, a strong 6500mAh battery, and a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor.
Performance and display
The 6.77-inch AMOLED display on the Vivo V60 can sustain a refresh rate of 120 Hz and a maximum brightness of 5000 nits. The Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset powers the phone, which has UFS 2.2 storage (up to 512GB) and LPDDR4X RAM (up to 16GB). It is powered by Funtouch OS 15, which is based on Android 15.
Camera Configuration
Among its features is a ZEISS triple rear camera system for photography. It features an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera, a 50MP super telephoto camera, and a 50MP primary camera (with OIS). It features a 50MP ZEISS group selfie camera for video calls and selfies.
Connectivity and Battery
The phone’s 6,500mAh battery can be charged at 90W rapid charging. Dual nano SIM, dual 5G, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.4, and USB 2.0 are examples of connectivity characteristics. The Vivo V60 is a high-end, portable, and thin smartphone, measuring only 0.7 cm in thickness and weighing about 201 grams.
Cost and accessibility
Four versions of the Vivo V60 have been released. The cost of its 8+128GB version is Rs 36,999. Meanwhile, its 8+256GB, 12+256GB, and 16+512GB variants are priced at Rs 38,999, Rs 40,999, and Rs 45,999, respectively. Three colors—Mist Gray, Moonlit Blue, and Auspicious Gold—will be offered for this phone. The sale will begin on August 19 at key retail locations nationwide as well as on Flipkart, Vivo’s official online shop. Additionally, customers can receive an exchange bonus of up to Rs 4,600 and a bank discount of up to Rs 2,300.
Competition will be present for the Oppo Reno 14 5G.
In an effort to increase its market share in the high-end mid-range smartphone segment, Oppo recently introduced the Reno 14 5G series in India. This phone features a triple rear camera arrangement with a 50MP primary sensor and a MediaTek Dimensity 8350 CPU. A unique model in the series has 512GB of storage and 12GB of RAM.
Cost and Variants
The Oppo Reno 14 5G base model, which costs Rs 37,999, comes with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. It is available in three eye-catching colors: Pearl White, Mint Green, and Forest Green. For our review, we received the Forest Green version.
As soon as you open the box, the Oppo Reno 14 5G’s high-end appearance and feel are immediately apparent. The phone has a highly balanced and clean design, and its tiny bezels add to its elegant appearance. When handled in the hand, the metal frame feels solid and smooth. Sponge Bionic Cushioning, as Oppo calls it, is intended to improve the phone’s comfort and robustness.
