Corona new variant XBB.1.9.1 found! WHO published a new report

Corona virus XBB.1.9.1 has a fresh variation. This mutant has the potential to proliferate quickly. A report on this was also produced by the World Health Organization (WHO). The current survey claims that in just one month, Corona cases in India had grown significantly. 33 lakh new cases were reported worldwide between March 6 and April 2, 2023, or roughly one month. 23,000 people also passed away during that time. However, there has been a 28% drop in overall cases and a 30% drop in fatalities as compared to the previous month (6 February to 5 March). Yet, 74 countries throughout the world, or 31% of them, had a 20% increase in cases in the previous month.

In South Asia, most cases are found in India.

South Asia has been the region where the corona virus has had the most impact. In a month, 43 000 cases were reported in this area. The rise over the prior month is 289 percent. In India, on average, 2.5 individuals per 1 lakh contract the disease. WHO reports that 34 000 785 new cases have been reported in India in the past month. This ranks first in all of South Asia. The same is true of deaths. On average, 1 fatality per 1 lakh people was documented in the past month. 106 deaths have been officially reported in India in one month.

Corona

Is a hospital necessary?

The fact that so few of the corona patients in India require hospitalization, however, is a source of relief. According to WHO statistics, Italy, France, and Ukraine in Europe have the highest hospital admission rates.

Keep an eye on these Corona variations

The coronavirus has undergone a total of 65 thousand 864 different variations in the past month, according to the WHO. WHO’s Special Eye (VOI) is currently focused on the XBB.1.5 version. It has been regarded as an interesting variety. XBB.1.5 has been linked to 47% of all corona cases reported globally. There are 94 countries that use this version. In addition, seven more versions are being watched. BA.2.75, CH.1.1, BQ.1, XBF, XBB, XBB.1.16, and XBB.1.9.1 are a few of these.

Corona

Found a new Corona strain that is rapidly spreading

Among of these, XBB.1.9.1 is the most recent one to be discovered. Similar to XBB.1.16, this version spreads quickly. In comparison, 9,644 variants of XBB.1.9.1 have been discovered in 68 countries, indicating that this variant is also proliferating quickly. There have been 1,497 distinct sequences of XBB.1.16 identified from 27 different countries.
