The MG Comet, MG Motors’ second electric car, has been introduced in India. The cost has remained at Rs 7.98 lakh by the company. It is now India’s most affordable electric car at this price. Two versions will be offered for sale. Other versions’ prices have not yet been disclosed. The automobile can be reserved beginning on May 15. It is a two-door, four-seat vehicle that is incredibly small in size. It is shorter than 3 meters in length. According to the manufacturer, the battery has a 230 KM range on a full charge and only costs Rs 599 to run for a month.
Features and Design
This automobile is gaining attention for its distinctive and small design. It features dual-tone paint, split headlamps, complete LED lighting, fashionable wheels, a tall C-pillar, and two doors. With a 2,010 mm wheelbase, the MG Comet has dimensions of 2,974 mm in length, 1,505 mm in width, and 1,631 mm in height.
However, there is adequate space within this electric car.
There are two 10.25-inch screens in the vehicle. It has a two-spoke steering wheel with controls that are similar to those on an Apple iPod. The list of goodies also includes a leather-wrapped steering wheel, keyless entry, push-button start, a digital key, power windows, a gray interior motif, and wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
Range and Battery
A 17.3 kWh battery pack is included with the MG Comet EV. Through a typical home outlet, a charge from 0% to 100% takes roughly 7 hours. The car comes with a 3.3 kW charger from MG. The MG Comet EV is not equipped with a quick charging system. Its range is 230 kilometers, according to official information. The electric motor has a maximum output of 42 PS and a maximum torque of 110 Nm.
