The workers received some fantastic news from the government. The government employees’ dearness allowance has been raised to 8%. The Gujarati government implemented this hike. Bhupendra Patel, the chief minister of Gujarat, has made this significant rise for the state’s entire workforce of public servants and retirees.
Recently, the central government raised the Dearness Allowance
for central employees by 4% while also raising the DA Hike. As a result, these employees are receiving a benefit of 42 percent DA. The hike will take effect on January 1, 2023. Additionally, the DA increase made by the Gujarati government will be regarded as taking effect on January 1, 2023.
What number of lakh employees will benefit?
According to the state government’s directive, 9.50 lakh retirees and government workers will profit from this. According to Bhupendra Patel, the state’s employees, and pensioners will benefit from this rise. The state administration concurrently upped the dearness allowance twice.
Increase in DA of 8%
The dearness allowance rise of 8% has been split into two halves. The first raise, a 4 percent increase, took effect on July 1, 2022. On the other hand, the second rise was implemented in accordance with the Central Government as of January 1, 2023, and it also saw an increase of 4%.
In this state as well, DA has climbed.
The Tamil Nadu government has also boosted DA, following the central government. Under the Seventh Pay Commission, DA has increased by 4%. In Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Assam, and some other states, the dearness allowance was raised by 3 percent.
