A notification for the Recruitment of UP Police Constables is about to be released by the Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB). Candidates must have completed their 12th grade at a reputable Indian institution to be considered. Candidates should carefully study the age restriction for the positions before applying since it differs by category. The maximum age restriction for applicants from the reserved category has been lowered as a result of changes to the UP Police Constable age limit.
Age Restrictions for recruitment in UP Police
Men must be between the ages of 18 and 22 to qualify for the unreserved category, while women must be between the ages of 18 and 25. At the same time, OBC/SC/ST (Male) candidates must be between the ages of 18 and 28; for women in the same category, the age range is between 18 and 31. The additional age relaxation, which is 5 years for SC/ST applicants and 3 years for OBC candidates, should be noted. By adhering to the State Personnel Department’s regulations, candidates who are residents of Uttar Pradesh can take advantage of reservation benefits during the hiring process.
UP Police Recruitment Quota
There is also some reserve quota that applies. The home service guards and ex-servicemen receive a 5% discount, while dependents of freedom fighters receive a 2% reservation. In addition to this, the Civil Police Department has a 20% reservation for women. The recruitment of UP Police Constables is divided into three phases. The candidates must first pass a written exam that is computer-based. The Physical Efficiency Test will be given to those who pass the test. The physical test and document verification make up the final phase.
Selection Procedures for Recruiting Police in UP
Candidates will move on to the second stage of selection after clearing the computer-based test and earning the required passing score. Candidates will be qualified for document verification after completing the standard and physical fitness tests. The final selection list for the positions of fireman and a police officer will be created using the test’s first and second-round results.
