Banks will not open for 14 days next month! RBI gave this update

Customers visiting the bank should know some important news. Next month, if you intend to visit the bank as well, make sure to check this list that the RBI has released. You must verify the list before visiting the bank because there are numerous holidays, including Independence Day, Rakshabandhan, and Onam, that would cause banks to be closed for 14 days (bank holidays in August 2023).

Banks

There will be numerous lengthy weekends.

In August, all banks will be closed for a total of 14 days, including state holidays. You must also plan for the numerous upcoming long weekends in addition to this. Let’s look at the bank holidays in August to see which days the banks will be closed.

  • Banks will be closed on August 6 due to Sunday.
  • Rain will prevent Tendong Lho Rum from operating on August 8 in Gangtok, and banks will be closed nationwide on August 12 in observance of the Second Saturday.
  • Due to the 13th of August falling on a Sunday, there will be a weekly holiday.
  • Because it is Independence Day on August 15, banks will be closed.
  • Due to the Parsi New Year, banks will be closed on August 16 in Mumbai, Nagpur, and Belapur.

RBI

  • Due to Srimanta Sankardev Tithi, banks will be closed on August 18 in Guwahati. On August 20, banks will be closed nationwide due to Sunday.
  • Because it is the fourth Saturday of August, banks will be closed on that day.
  • Because of Onam, banks will be closed in Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram on August 28. Because of Tiruonam, banks will also be closed on August 29.
  • Raksha Bandhan will keep banks closed in Jaipur and Shimla on August 30. Raksha Bandhan, Sree Narayana Guru Jayanti, and Pang-Lhabsol will also keep banks closed in Dehradun, Gangtok, Kanpur, Kochi, Lucknow, and Thiruvananthapuram on August 31.
