More than two months have passed since then, although some people have not yet received the ITR refund. According to the Income Tax Department, this may be a possibility because Form 26AS and Annuity Information Report (AIS) are not in agreement with one another. According to the Income Tax Department, refunds may become stalled if taxpayers submit AIS paperwork and want more or less money than is allowed.

Refunds are only transferred to individuals’ bank accounts once the income tax refund has been processed; however, if the refund is delayed, updated returns must be filed. Check the ITR status as well if there is a delay in receiving your income tax refund. E-verification must be completed before the ITR refund may be handled.
Additionally, verify the bank account number
where the refund money will be deposited. The reimbursement will not be issued if the bank account number is incorrect. Additionally, make sure the name is spelled correctly on your bank account, PAN, and Aadhar card. Incorrect spelling can potentially prevent ITR refunds from being processed.
