For those who are waiting for the Recruitment with Delhi Police, there is excellent news. Vinay Kumar Saxena, the lieutenant governor of Delhi, has asked the city’s government entities, including the Delhi Police, to fill the open positions.
An official stated that by July 2024, 13,013 positions in various
junior ranks within the police force will need to be filled. 3,521 of these are currently in the advanced hiring stage and will be filled by December of this year. The Hindu claims that the Lieutenant Governor instructed the police to adhere to protocol and make sure that a sufficient number of female candidates are chosen.
The positions that are open are for
1,411 male constables as drivers, 276 female and 559 male head constables, and 573 male and 284 female head constables as assistant wireless operators/teleprinter operators (AWOs and TPOs). In addition, 418 technical positions in various ranks, including those of Assistant, Radio Technician, Photographer, Draughtsman, Store Clerk, Fitter, Mast Lasker, MT Helper, MT Storeman, Statistician, and Workshop Hands, are open and call for a trade or skill exam. 840 positions for multitasking staff need to be filled.
According to the Raj Niwas official
1,799 positions would soon be advertised for recruitment, and 11,214 positions for the Staff Selection Commission are in various stages of filling. 3,521 posts have reached a higher level. A written exam, an MT and PE, and a typing test were administered when the vacancy was announced. The positions are to be filled in stages between July 2024 and December 2023.
