At the present Japan Mobility Show 2023, Maruti Suzuki Motor Corporation is showcasing the redesigned eVX electric SUV concept. The latest generation Swift hatchback and eWX compact electric vehicle were also displayed by the firm. In India, we’re anticipating the debut of the new Swift and Maruti eVX electric SUVs. Among these, eVX is scheduled for debut in 2025 and Swift in 2024. This electric SUV is expected to start at about Rs 25 lakh (ex-showroom).
Drivetrain
The electric SUV is still under wraps, but it is anticipated to sport a 60kWh battery pack and an electric engine in its finished form. With just one full charge, the new Maruti eVX might have a 500 km range, which could also be with an all-wheel drive (AWD) system. The forthcoming Maruti electric SUV could have the following dimensions: length 4,300 mm, width 1,800 mm, height 1,600 mm, and wheelbase 2,700 mm. This indicates that the car will be the same size as the 4,300 mm-long Hyundai Creta.
System and Layout
Toyota’s 40PL global architecture serves as the foundation for the 27PL platform, which will be used to build the eVX. Its slim headlamps, redesigned ORVMs, stylish bumper, and new tri-arrow LED DRL are all part of its exterior appearance. Its side profile will have flush-style door handles, alloy wheels, and noticeable wheel arches. LED tail lamps, a huge skid plate, and a three-piece lighting design will be on the back.
CabinÂ
There shouldn’t be any physical buttons on the dashboard of the cabin. The dual-screen layout, where one screen serves as the instrument cluster and the other as the infotainment screen, is its most distinctive feature. A yoke-like two-spoke steering wheel, vertical AC vents, a rotary dial knob on the center console, ambient lighting, and dual-tone upholstery might also be included in the electric SUV.
